Workout for fun - Stay Home Stay Fit !

Where this is will  there is a way !

Be true to yourself and answer this.. 

Do you really care about your health ? Are you capable of forming healthy habits ? 

If you ask me.. YES YOU ARE !

If there is one thing you can do to change your lifestyle... this is it, start giving your body mini shocks now. Shocks of " Physical Activity". Yes, that's right. I'll call it activity rather than "exercise" and "workout". 
I always tell you guys, no need get on level 10 on day 1, no need pick up a dumbbell, no need for you to even sweat so hard. All you need to do is.. Be ready ! Be Willing ! Be True !
Here I am today to share the best of my ideas, which can get you started, and it is so much fun too. I am gonna list out things which will not only help you do the " Physical Activity" but will also bring you in a "Happy State of Mind".  Here we go..

1. Dancing 












Pick your favourite playlist and invent your moves, be a natural and forget if anyone is watching. Act as if you are dancing alone in a big forest, like there is nothing but beautiful plant, trees, sunlight/ rain whichever you prefer the best, birds are watching and air is fresh ! This one can be the best time of your day and once you start, you will look forward to doing it everyday I believe. 

2. Skipping / Jumping



















Remember when you were a kid ? How we all were so indifferent towards our surroundings. We never cared if the world is watching, we never mind if someone's laughing at us or making comments. This state of mind. If you can attain this state of mind nobody can touch you mentally. I want you to intentionally become unaware and indifferent and make this your natural habit. Although, if you do these activities indoor anyway you are not exposing to a lot of audience but really nowadays, being conscious has become nature. So break this habit and start afresh. 

3. Stationary Jogging












When you can't go out for a jog ! Why not do it staying where you are.  It's a highly effective cardiovascular activity, helps you lose weight, build your muscles strong and gives you a rush and best part, you can do it anywhere you want. This can be very good for stamina building too, make sure to keep your mouth closed and breathe from nose, it gives you a control over your breathing. You know how this can be a fun activity ? Put on some happy music and jog like you are just chilling and nothing else ! 

4. Take the Stairs




















This one is pretty cool. I learned this one at a very young age, first thing that attracted me as a kid was the stairs, it was challenging it was tiring but it gave me a feeling of success. Take it step by step and you know what skip a few stairs, it's totally fine, and its fun. A great exercise for your lower body thigh muscles. Once you reach your first milestone, celebrate your success ! 

5. Go Freestyle












This one, you will create for yourself. You know what I mean. I am at my best state of mind when I go freestyle, although my family and friends find it funny sometimes when I do this, but who cares right ? We are little kids, having our own fun time, Please give us our space ! Ha ha. There are many ways to do this like jumping like a grasshopper, or dancing really weird moves, sitting in one place and making faces (can be a form of jaw exercises), grooving while you are cooking(this is my favourite). It can be anything that makes you feel alive and active.

Try these while you are working from home, it can improve your productivity and fill you with unimaginable energy. Stay Home and get fit !

Productive Things To Do When Bored at Home




If you have time to get bored... You surely have time to change your life !

Develop new habits.. How to develop new habits ?

I always say, we are all capable of amazing things, we all have the same 24 hours a day, but it's totally up to us on how we spend our precious time. Getting bored is one way of wasting time.

Although there are lots and lots of things to do... Here I am listing down a few best ones so you can make best use of your time, try these and see the difference, do keep a track of change if you can and share it with me in the comments below later, it will encourage me to create even better content going forward for you all.

Best Productive Things to do at Home !














1. Take a short term course :

Guys, we all have a knack for something, there is room for more knowledge and there are many things which we want to learn or be good at, so why not do this now ? what is stopping you ? if you have extra time, do find out a short term course and get yourself educated on it. It could be a trivial topic or something of a higher level, some people like to cook, or want to learn a new language, or a supporting course for your current profession, personal development, communication skills, marketing, finance, stock market etc. Investing in education is the best investment ever. Upgrade yourself and your knowledge as and when you can, and you won't ever regret this. Trust me!

















2. Plan your next vacation -

We can create itineraries as per our taste and preferences, search for best hotels, flights, locations to visit, restaurants to eat, activities to do, you can plan everything in detail, this will not only be a good use of time but it will save you money on travel agencies. What can be better than exploring places on your self planned vacation ?













3. Read Personality Development Books -

This could be a very interesting idea if you like to learn and develop yourself, personality development teaches you a way to live and deal with various things in life. There is nothing wrong to be open to receiving such knowledge at any age. You can always go for an e-book reading, if traditional ways doesn't suit your style.















4. Form a habit of meditation -

Now I am bit of a rebel, for me meditation doesn't always mean that you have to sit in one place and disconnect from the world completely. It could be any activity that gives you peace of mind and helps you relax for sometime. For me, listening to piano is meditation, sitting near my window, hearing the chirping of birds, morning air, fragrance of flowers, early morning sunlight all this gives me so much peace, the sound of rain..i like to just live in that moment. This kind of meditation can have a very deep impact on our mood and mindset. Try it someday.














5. Make some room -

This maybe a very common idea, when it comes to getting busy at home but the truth about cleaning is, it gives you space to grow, it maintains positive vibe in your house. You can start with your cupboard, kitchen, drawers, your email, text messages, photos from your phone, organize your laptop, car,your files, your
bookshelf, organize your important stuff. Whatever it is that needs to be organized, do it now, when you have all the time in the world. When you make this a habit, you will realize with time that being organized can open lot of doors of opportunity for you in different aspects of life, when you let go of the old, stuff, thoughts and habits, you make room for the new.











6. Watch TedTalks

Honestly, it is one of  the reasons I started writing in the first place, it is extremely informational, and mind opening. There are various topics on YouTube, you can pick one which looks best for you and watch ! There's just so much to learn, you won't even realize how time flew by.
















7. Form an Exercise routine -

Pick one problem area, which you desperately want to shape, reduce or enhance and find out some great exercise for that specific area, Do that. Start with basics, like arm exercise, butt exercises, beginner's yoga, breathing exercises help improve your stamina, etc. Exercising regularly in your free time will not only shape your body but also will boost your productivity, make sure you don't over do it in the first few weeks because that could make you lose interest. Go slow one at a time kind of thing.

The Perfect Lifestyle For Thyroid Patients

I am proud to share this with you..

I was tested positive for hypothyroidism in 2017, and now when I look back, I am so grateful that I got myself tested. I'll tell you why !
My life before test and after test has changed drastically. To be specific it's not the test, it's the medicine and lifestyle changes I made after I was informed that I have thyroid.
It surely, took a while for things to get normal but when it did, I never felt better than this before in my whole life.

In (Hypothyroidism - Weight gain), there were some serious symptoms I had such as :

1. Sensitivity to cold (I use to super cold in air conditioned room, almost shiver)
2. Weight gain (10 pounds in 2 months)
3. Severe PMS ( Don't even ask me about this.. anger, high blood pressure, crying etc.)
4. Depression & mood swings
5. Tiredness

Until i was tested, I never realized that it could be a hormonal disorder rather I used to blame myself and started to believe that I am such a horrible, negative person and it started to take toll on my health and relationships. (Health and relationships are closely related, I will talk about this some other day).

So to bring my life back on track, there were a few very important things that I followed :-














Thyroid medicine
Take your prescribed on time. Be regular, try to take at the same time everyday for e.g. if you took it at 6 am today then take it at 6 am next day and all days.














Green Juice 
Everyday 1 glass,

Raw Vegetables
This should be a replacement for evening snacks. Have (Carrots, cucumber, corn) instead of             (Biscuits, tea and coffee)














Green Tea
Post dinner and evenings (you need to develop taste for it, it's not so bad after all)














Physical activity 
This is a must ! You can't skip this part, I am not pushing you to go to gym or run for hours if you can though, it's great but if not then, at least try something less exhausting
For e.g brisk walk, jogging, yoga, climb the stairs if nothing else.

















Sleep time consistency
If you sleep at 11 pm then sleep at 11 pm everyday, keep the time consistent and hours of sleep should minimum be 6.5-7 hours.









Avoid Sugar, Smoke & Alcohol
Try to skip sugar instead try fruits, in limited quantity and stay stress free, the smoking or drinking habit may take sometime :) )

5 ways to develop a new habit in 2020

Here is a great way to start !

None of us are perfect. We all come with our bag of flaws and guess what, some of us are pretty proud of it too ! People who know what I mean can stop reading right from here. :p Just kidding.

The truth is, as we grow and learn about ourselves, we figure that we have some good and some bad habits and we actively make attempts to change it but always leave midway because of many reasons such as :
1. Laziness
2. Inconsistency
3. Fear of failure
4. Low self confidence
5. Zero will power
6. Strong reason to pursue it in the first place
7. Time constraints

I am trying to put up the major ones up here, but there could be whole lot of reasons to give up.

The way we are, our attitude towards life also plays a huge role in shaping our habits. Whatever maybe the reason and whoever you are i am pretty confident of one thing, that we are all normal and we all have a potential to carve our lives the way we want, all we need to do is, press the Go-Get-It buttons placed in our heads.

Having said that, I would love to share some interesting tips which will strongly help you shift your habits on a daily basis, these could be a game changer if you are consistent, and honestly if you really want it, you will have it.Take action towards it and see the difference

5 ways to develop a habit :














Focus on short term goals 

It is very important that we understand the value of little things, for you to believe and achieve bigger things you first need to achieve and believe in smaller goals. For example :
Don't
>set your alarm at 5 am on day one,
>write your biggest dream today
>focus on the weight you want to loose in life
>start an extremely difficult diet plan all of a sudden and starve
>exercise like there is no tomorrow
>start saving money like you have no expense for the rest of the month
>Stop performing at your current job and aggressively start running after your dreams !

So basically, I am not saying that you should not think about your long term goals right now or lose all hopes. All I am saying is, you need a strategy, a well thought and a more practical plan.

> Set your alarm to 6 am for starters, and eventually start to modify the cycle of sleep and wake up time
>Write the next one week plan, break it down into parts
>Celebrate small successes, try to lose 5 pounds in the beginning and proud on completing stage one to success
> Start a once a week fasting, start eating light dinners, treat yourself by eating your favourite dessert once a week (Trust me its far more satisfying than having sweets everyday).
> Take up beginners exercises, focus on major problem areas and start to work on them at first. (Tip: Cardiovascular exercises like bicycling, swimming, skipping, running,brisk walking are always easier to start and affects most of your muscles)
>Increase the percentage of savings, on a weekly basis
>Perform better at your current job, and collect client appreciation letters, cover letter from your seniors and use it as a tool to get at a better shot at your next job interview.















Track your performance 

If you have heard a famous saying ... "Try to be better than who you were yesterday".
It is very important to keep a notice of your day to day activities, it is obviously easier to plan better and extremely motivating to see a difference in day 1 and Day 15 results.
The best way to do this is by writing down, creating excel to record, mark calendar,use timer, appropriate machines to measure performance perfectly. But if you find it difficult to keep a track of things in organized manner or detailed manner then the best thing is to right it down. It is easy, takes two minutes, and recorded under written date so you know where were you 7 days back or 15 days back.















Document it 

I can't push enough on how important it is to write down What You Want ?
It is said that when you write your goals, you are 50 percent there already. I don't know there is something about writing your plans, that it immediately starts provoking actions and it really does help you get there. Maybe it has something to do with your psychology, but it works !














Do it anyway

You need to understand one thing, it is not necessary to give up on your old habits starting from day one. Start applying your new habits alongside your old habits. It is fine. You need to start somewhere, that is more important and eventually you will see the old habits taking back seat.
So for example, you are a smoker but you want to start building your stamina by exercising. In this case, you can reduce the number of smokes by let's say 10 percent than your normal routine and start exercising for about 20 mins a day for starters. Now, this is a very vague situation but try to focus on the point I am trying to make here. Coming back, when you start to exercise, you will notice that you start panting easily it will be difficult, but you will also see the change in your skin, it will start to look fresh and you will start to feel more productive in few days. When you see these amazing shifts in your lifestyle, you will feel less and less need to smoke or any other habit like drink, or sleep too much, or binge eating etc.
So focus on the pressing that button "Go-Get-It". Start from somewhere, anywhere. But start.














Celebrate your success

Like I have mentioned in the first step, celebrate the short term successes. The short term achievements are the most important ones, because they pave the way to your big success. It's not the destination it's the journey that makes it worth remembering.

Do not underestimate the power of your little milestones. But make sure you don't go overboard. Just celebrate enough to be motivated for your next milestone !
